Big MO's Outreach

Carman-Ainsworth High School has had a FIRST
Robotics Team for ten (10) years (1999-2008). We
have attempted to participate in all of the
challenges that are presented by FIRST; which
include keeping an up to date website by partnering
with the Carman-Ainsworth Community School District,
submitted our Chairman's report every year
starting in 2000 showing how we have expanded our
family tree and the impact on our community through
our outreach activities. We have also submitted an
animation video, required judges information,
yearbook and brochure pages for FIRST. We
have fabricated and built a metal competitive robot
in a 1960's woodshop. We have also been
instrumental in establishing the first FLL regional
and state tournaments in the state of Michigan and
continue to grow FLL to what it is today in
Michigan. Expanding FIRST to the next level, we are
setting the foundation for a FRC competition in a
box to assist schools and teams who would benefit
from the FIRST experience at an affordable price.
Our pilot tournament, Kettering Robotics Competition
will be held March 7 and 8, 2008, at Kettering
University, Flint, Michigan. Because of our
committment to FIRST, we have expanded our "Family
Tree" by pruning and planting our seeds throughout
the nation.
Team 314's has strong ties to the community and we
like to get involved wherever we can.
